2 Powerful Lessons From Chick-Fil-A Marketing

What does a cow and a chicken sandwich have in common?

Most people who live in North America can easily answer that question. Many people around the world may be able to as well.

Chick-Fil-A undoubtedly has some of the most creative marketing I have ever seen. It is also some of the simplest marketing.

But sometimes I don’t think Chick-Fil-A even needs any marketing. Their product is so spectacular most people who like Chick-Fil-A could care less if they ever see a Chick-Fil-A commercial again. They will still buy Chick Fil A regardless.

Here are a few reasons why Chick-Fil-A continues to out perform its peers, especially when it comes to its product and marketing.

1) A superb product
Chick-Fil-A has a very simple product line that has expanded over time. But the core product has always been the same. The chicken sandwich.

Chick-Fil-A simply does not need lots and lots of different products. They have created a chicken sandwich that is better than any chicken sandwich I have ever eaten.

2) Create a customer experience defined by “wow”!
When you enter a Chick-Fil-A you are greeted. When you say “thank you,” the employees say “my pleasure.” When you sit down to eat, they come to ask if you would like anything else. When your drink is about half full, they offer to fill it up. When something is spilled onto the floor, they happily come and clean it up. They don’t show any frustration.

Have you ever noticed how other fast food chains seem to be annoyed by you being there at all? Ever noticed how they seem to not care that you’re there and definitely never say that it is there pleasure to help you?

If your wondering why your sales are down or you’re not achieving the success that you would like at your job, consider implementing one of these 2 approaches over the course of 2014. Even better, try both.

The lazy thing to do is to complain about the market and place blame on someone else. The more difficult, but fruitful, thing to do is to take responsibility that perhaps your product needs to be altered or your costumer services needs a little TLC.
